Laboratory-based training courses will be held at either the University of Oxford’s Biochemistry and Biological Sciences Teaching Centre (Mansfield Road) or at the Oxford Brookes University’s Biological and Medical Sciences Teaching Facilities (Headington Campus). Both teaching labs were recently modernised to high standards, offering excellent laboratory facilities, and are equipped to teach undergraduate/graduate level laboratory work to groups of over 100 students. Depending upon the time of year, it may be possible to stay at a University of Oxford college or the Oxford Brookes accommodation. We will send further information to our enrolled participants.
Classroom-based workshops on intellectual property, commercialisation and biosafety/bioethics will be taught largely at a University of Oxford department or college, which are equipped with excellent teaching facilities, including comfortable seating, data projectors and WiFi. Most of the small group teaching will be done in college tutorial rooms, usually used by the University students and their tutors.
